The royal bond, which is the main attraction of the Festival, is represented on the outside of the Church of Rocamador, an incomparable framework and that is where the Wedding was celebrated more than 500 years ago. This theatrical performance is carried out by amateur actors, that is, they are not professionals. And as a curiosity, in the work itself, both the Portuguese King and part of his company, are neighbors of Marvao (Portugal). This is another event, which shows that here, “there is no” border. The performance of the Royal Link takes place twice during the weekend, which is usually on Saturday and Sunday. We assure you that if you have the opportunity to enjoy the performance, you will enjoy a sensory experience that will leave you indifferent.

Apart from the representation of the Wedding, those who visit us will have the opportunity to enjoy an experience open to all audiences. Thro the days of the Festival, you will be able to visit and see the Artisanal Market of the Renaissance and the representation of offices, all of which are located in the Gothic Quarter area. In the Constitution Square, children will find the Renaissance Children’s Park, where they will find attractions, gymkanas, games, workshops, etc. Likewise, the visitor will be meeting with street animation, parades, small theatrical performances, musical concerts, etc.

We forgot to tell you that another of the most spectacular moments of the event and that you can not miss, is the Parade of Comitivas that is held on the first day of the Festival, where the royal comitivas are received by the authorities of the Villa and travel all the streets of the historic centre to the Market of artisans of the Renaissance.

The gastronomic point of the event is nothing secondary, as during these days is celebrated the Ruta de la Tapa Isabelina, where the vast majority of the hostels of the locality offer among their culinary offer a cover of Renaissance theme. It is a unique opportunity as it is tapas that only offer during these days that the Festival is celebrated.

I did not want to finish talking about Boda Regia, without highlighting the great effort that a large part of the neighbors of the locality make for this event to take place, as they sacrifice a lot of their own time, not only in the days that the event is celebrated but in the preparations for it. All of this, channelled and coordinated through the Cultural Association Boda Regia. Citizen participation, on this occasion, is the soul for Boda Regia to be a success year after year and has become one of the most important cultural and tourist events in the region.
